Pumpkin Cake

 

18.25 oz. box yellow cake mix
15 oz can of pumpkin (make sure you get pumpkin and NOT pumpkin pie mix)
2 eggs
1/4 cup water
2 tsp. baking soda
1 ¼ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp ground cloves

¼ tsp nutmeg

¼ tsp ginger

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease and flour a bundt cake pan (or just spray with cooking spray).

Dump all ingredients into a large bowl, mix with an electric mixer for 2 minutes (until all of the wet and dry ingredients are incorporated), and pour into cake pan. Bake for 40- 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.


Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

Cowboy Stew

An easy stew with a kick you cook in your crock pot.

 

Ingredients:

1 pound ground turkey

2 cloves chopped garlic (or 1 teaspoon of minced garlic from a jar)

15 oz can of tomato sauce

15 oz can of diced Italian seasoned tomatoes

15 oz can whole kernel corn, drained

(2) 15 oz cans whole baby potatoes, drained (DO NOT use fresh they turn to mush)

10 oz can tomatoes with green chilies

22 oz can of Bush’s Grillin’ Beans- Smokehouse Tradition

26 oz can of Garlic & Herb Spaghetti Sauce

1 cup water

Optional garnish:

sliced jalapeno peppers

shredded cheddar cheese

sour cream

  

Directions: Make sure you use at least a 5 quart crock pot, there

 

Brown the ground turkey in a skillet with the garlic, until it is browned. Drain fat.

 

While the meat is cooking; open the rest of the ingredients (except for the garnish) and dump into your crock pot. Add the browned meat and water. Stir with a spoon to combine.

 

Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours (preferred methoed) or on high for 4-5.

 

Garnish as desired.

Banana Bread

 

1/3 Cup of margarine

1/3 Cup of brown sugar

1/3 Cup of white sugar

2 unbeaten eggs

1 ¾ Cups of sifted flour

2 Tsp. baking powder

¼ Tsp. baking soda

1 Cup mashed bananas

 

Mix well together.  Bake at 325 for about an hour.
